The Midlothian Business Carbon Charter supports Midlothian Council’s Net Zero 2030 goal and recognises the importance of Scotland’s wider Net Zero 2045 targets, encouraging local businesses to do their bit so that collectively as a region we can achieve this together. PM Solutions are proud to be part of this journey and are actively seeking ways to operate in a more environmentally friendly way and help achieve these goals.

We are currently engaged with Zero Waste Scotland and Energy Savings Trust to work towards zero carbon status over the coming years and also use a 100% Renewable Energy supplier by end 2022
Our 15,000 sq.ft Grade A building was completed in 2017 with air source heating installed and energy efficient heating & lighting
Our paper suppliers are vetted and only use FSC sustainable products
Working practices encourage work from home where possible
Car sharing & active transport are encouraged to all staff
We are renewing our planning permission for two Wind Turbine’s on site at here at PM Solutions
ISO 14001 renewed in 2021 (which is aimed at waste, costs & risks)
We have 4.5 acres of land on which we have currently planted over 250 trees and are in consultation with the local primary school to have their involvement as part of children’s environmental education
Our latest planned initiatives on this land will comprise half a dozen beehives which will benefit the surrounding environment in terms of pollination, food for predators and maintaining natures balance
And, a company allotment where we will grow our own vegetables and produce
